I never thanked Him for that"

My brother recently preached a message that included a story. It has stuck with me and I feel so convicted every time I hear it. So much so, that I wanted to share.
Some of you know the story of Corrie Ten Boom. If not, here's a summary:
Her family was instrumental in hiding Jews during the Holocaust. However, they were found out and sent to concentration camps. Corrie and her sister were sent to the same one. Upon arrival, they were forced to remove all their clothes and stand in front of the guards.
Corrie, unquestionably ashamed, turned to her sister and whispered, "They took His clothes too and I never thanked Him for that."

In the midst of trials, no matter how big or small, we often wonder why. Perhaps, more than just for the purpose of molding us to become more like Him, we experience these trials to understand better what He has done for us.

Thanks for reading guys :)
